Questions about the questions

Do I need a membership to ask a question?

No. Asking and reading are priced separately. Asking always runs on credits (or your one free question); membership only removes the reading limit.

Do credits expire?

No. A credit sits on your account until you use it. One credit is one question.

When do I get credits or membership after I pay?

Purchases are activated automatically after Razorpay (India) or PayPal (everywhere else) confirms payment. Notifications go to your scaffirmations account email.

What if my question is already answered?

Before you submit, we show you the closest existing answers. If one of them covers it, read that instead and keep your credit.

What happens to my saved answers if my membership lapses?

They stay in your list. You just go back to the free monthly read allowance, so opening one counts against that again until you renew.

Is my question public?

The question and the answer are published to the library. Your name and email never are.

Can I ask a follow-up on an answer?

Yes. On your answered question, send a follow-up. It uses one credit and stays in that thread. It is not listed as a separate library card.
